R.I.P. Sandy German

<< < (2/2)

The Lone Harper:
Had the pleasure of meeting Sandy at SPAH in '83 and remember his performance of a jazz composition for flute (the name of which escapes me at the moment) and another piece called Irelandaise. I found his rendition of 'Sunny', performed with I think Danny Wilson on bass and possibly Bud Boblink on chord to be inspiring. We shared a table with Robert Bonfiglio at the gala dinner at SPAH '98. Vale' Sandy.

Danny G:
I met Sandy when he dropped in on a club meeting and played a few tunes at the Rubber Capital Harmonica Club sometime around 1980. He was my first harmonica hero.
