I was trying to think where I had heard that song - Near You - before and then I remembered that it was probably on some TV show where the host sang a duet with his female guest. That was the kind of thing they did back in the 1970s.

Near You is one of my favorites, but in the Eddie Haywood style as played.  Also,
Canadian Sunset

Soft Summer Breeze

Here's another version that sounds great.  Not totally piano, but mostly!

There seem to be some versions of the tune “as performed by George Jones and Tammy Wynette” if that helps.

Here' one I remember waaaay back from when i was a kid.
As I recall, it was a 78 (of course ::)) and probably on the London label. No vocals, just piano and, BTW, much better than the version below.  :P

Plays very well on the tonic key of whatever you have handy, with the button in. Try it and see. 8)
I'd love to find a Karaoke of this cool old number.

This old song dates back to 1927 8). The version here was recorded in 1971 and includes some nice harmonica action. Have a listen, if available where you are.

He's the newest SlideMeister member.
Nice gentlemen.  Likes classical. New player, and already plays very well. He was the guy you didn't recognize for the 90 seconds you were with us. :)
