I can relate!
Se? there ARE more of us around --who are oxygen deprived. And it really does affect one's playing. Shame, isn't it? I'm also very anemic and need iron infusions fairly often. Thought I was doing better (hadn't been called back in over 3 months) but no...last bloodwork showed I was rapidly descending again and needed two more (it's a series of two - a week apart) infusions. I've noticed that when my blood count is that low I also feel very oxygen deprived even when not suffering through bronchitis. When it's both--it's well-nigh impossible to play anything more than basic notes. IF I sit down at the mic I can manage to hold them a bit longer, but standing at a mic leaves me sounding like a pure amateur. Sigh.

PS: Dee, I've long-since made jokes about being SO pale I verge into the 'pale-blue Scottish person' Billy Connolly talks about in his rants about his Scottish childhood (he grew up close to where I did in Glasgow). He's SO funny.
