Bonjour from Mr.Breathe
« on: December 09, 2020, 09:24:55 PM »
Hello fellow deep breathers! Just joined this forum. I'm a 30y/o professional player and teacher from Toronto,
mostly interested in connecting with other diatonic players so I'll mostly be participating in that little section of this website.
I'm curious about unique tunings, beatbox harmonica playing - anything cutting edge and new in the harmonica world. I love blues & jazz,
but I'm more of an inventor than a traditionalist so I'm always looking for new ways to push the envelope.

I've studied with Howard Levy, Carlos Del Junco, and Jason Rosenblatt and I'm also seeking to learn more,
which is why I'm here!

In case you're curious about my playing I have some videos hosted on my website - www.brynscottgrimes.com/media.html and on Youtube.
Some harmonica centric ones include:
"Mr.Breathe"
"The Blowzone Layer"
"Gadd a Tee"

In addition to be an avid player and SPAH member, I run a company called www.harmonicafreedom.com where I host a variety of online courses for diatonic players and
I'm the co-founder of a recording studio in Toronto called www.silverthornstudios.ca, which has hosted numerous producers
and musician over the years, including Eddie Kramer, Jim Cuddy, Kiefer Sutherland, etc.

Excited to get to know you all and to dig into some of these discussions.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard. :)

(We have a member who also creates many differing harmonicas, he goes by the name of Brendan, you may get on well together.)

Many of us have the little ones, & tremolos, but we only mention them in the diatonic section, else we might incur the wrath of the boss. ;)

So glad you stopped in to check us out.
There are plenty of us who also play those little guys, and are constantly in search of all the cool technique tricks and stuff.
