Hi all,

There is an Valentine Day offer on MuseScore.
Does/did someone use this site? Is it worth the investment?

Although I have used MuseScore for free for years, I haven't bought into any of their promotions. If you haven't used MuseScore yet, it might be a good idea just to download their free site and get used to using it. Then, if their offer appears again (it will!), you can decide whether it's worth the enhancements. I use it to transcribe, copy, and put down all my compositions, going back as many as ten years—solo lines, instrumental solos and duets, choral music, piano accompaniments. It's powerful, and I'd be hard put for my skills to exceed its many functions.

I use MuseScore.  At first I used it for free, but I did upgrade to the paid version so that I could download (to edit) and upload scores.  I like to use their app on my phone to practice harmonica without requiring a computer, and also like being able to pull up my scores conveniently on any computer at which I happen to be sitting.  Being able to instantly transpose those scores between keys on my phone is also charming.  For a mere 20 dollars a year, I'm comfortable with the benefits.

Yeah, use it a lot, I like to have the lead sheet in multiple keys for everything I play, I do have the upgraded version, I think it's worth it.  I also use Musicnotes but everything is pay, so I use it when musescore does not have what I want. By the way, you need to look carefully at the avalaible sheet music on musescore as they are not all as accurate as they might be, so be selective.
