Of course. If you ain't there, we can say all kinds of derogatory stuff and you won't be able to defend yourself. Cept we'll miss your ZOOM expertise. (Note: Brorat is the guy who helps us out with any technical issues that need "explained.")

Seriously, Doug, we all miss ya when you ain't there. :)

Yes. Thank you for asking. I did play on the Boston Common on Memorial Day. I played mostly slow songs/pieces and I think it created a nice relaxing atmosphere. People would stop and listen and then put a dollar or 5 dollars in the hat-enough to pay for parking and a nice dinner in nearby Chinatown! The only issue that I ran up against was the cold weather. The winds savers started sticking-which is so frustrating. If I decide to do more cold weather playing I might buy a USB charger for my Seydel Symphony heated case.
Doug, enjoy your gig. The residents will love the music and the warm vibes you’ll bring to them.

Thanks Dan.

Here’s another “small world” story for you.
Last Sunday afternoon, our small neighborhood had our annual business meeting and a pot luck supper in one of our streets. (No through traffic😱😱). We only have 37 homes in the neighborhood. I was talking to a couple who live diagonally across the street. They were asking me about my adventures with the harmonica. I was telling them about our Zoom sessions and the nice folks I’ve gotten to know there. I told them about my gig coming up on Monday, and I said, “One member of our Zoom group did his first public gig at a park in Boston a few weeks back. I wonder if he went to Boston Commons on Memorial Day weekend?!”
They got an incredulous look on their faces. The wife, Robbie, said to me,
“We were vacationing in Boston that weekend. We went to Boston Commons. I’m sure we stood for a while and listened to your friend!!”

They were impressed and entertained!
I’ll tell them it was you!

Oh wow! That's perfect! :(
The day YOU'RE late ~I~ didn't show up at all!!
I was all ready for the ZOOMER, and Barbara had a sudden,  personal "scare event" that we're still kinda watching. I was sure you guys would do just fine without me, and never even thought about contacting Danny G. Boy, this getting old stuff can be a real pain in the shorts :(

Hope you sell a LOT, Danny!  You'll be missed on the Zoom session.
I'll be on the road at least part of Thursday ... depending on the length of a meeting.  I hope to be back for the Zoom.  If I'm late to the party, you'll know why!

BTW, I just got home from my first "public" gig!  Played for about 20 residents of a senior living community nearby.  They seemed to really enjoy it, and I know I did!
When I got home, my wife was out rehearsing for playing at a church next Sunday.  She had left the note shown below taped to the back door! :-*

Really great meeting today! We actually a lotta fun. ;D No, Danny G wasn't with us, and we all missed him, but we still had eleven or twelve folks show up. (actually I think we had fourteen in there for while) Aaaanyway, we played like twenty numbers and had a pretty good time. Only thing missing was you (if you didn't stop in)

Watch for your annoying Newsletter next Wednesday. 8)

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I just spent hours getting my yard mowed, edged and cleaned.  It looks great, but the going was rough after four days of rainy weather.  Needed the 4" of gentle rain, but it made my push mower hard to push through the lush grass!  Anyway, it's done for another week.

I just found out I'll be in a meeting next Thursday during Zoom time, so I won't be able to join you.  The following week, my grandson and I will be on the road to DannyG's Party! 8)

We're REALLY looking forward to being at the party and among lots of friends there.  I hope some (ALL?) of you fellow Zoomers can hit the road and join the crowd in Ohio.  If not, take care, and I'll see you all later!

Take care, and HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to all you US Zoomers!

Fun Zoom today! Only five of us but we discussed a lotta stuff including techniques and stuff. Then we all played and tried to play stuff. I was a real "round-table" (just the way I like'm.) ;D
Thanx guys.
Not sure about next week. :-\ The guys who won't be at Danny G's will be on the ZOONER, but not sure if Danny can set up a feed from his party. (which would really be a hoot) Here's hopin' it works out.

Oh! I'm glad you posted this, Age! The other day I saw a video Danny posted (maybe on his New Harmonica link here?) showing what I assumined was a ZOOM meeting. It showed individual people playing right into the camera, with only a couple of tiny glimpses of two people (Tom Stryker and you) listening. While I did enjoy hearing whomever was playing (including Tom and Danny), I didn't really recognize the other players, there was no 'intro' of them and no 'sitting around discussing' or anything else the way I imagined a ZOOM meeting would be? It seemed just a few people playing, which isn't at all how I thought it was. You've now changed my mind - so I do hope that what you've described is how they actually DO work? I'd envisioned a typical SPAH (or other convention) 'play-along' if that's what folks wanted, OR individual playing, but with others included 'in the room' so to speak? I'm probably not describing this very well.  :-\
