Thanks for the warm welcome.  :)

I've been practicing regularly after letting my harps collect dust for over a decade.
Really glad I did it, I've found a myriad of online resources this time and I'm having a blast.

Already I've picked some really good advice from this forum, I couldn't miss my chance to participate as well.

A bit about where I'm coming from could be in order (sorry the long wall of text btw)  ;D

As many diatonic players, I bought a chromatic a few years along the way trying to copy George Harmonica Smith style, but didn't went further. So I honestly didn't do much with the chroms (got a CX-12 and Super 64x) back then.
After playing exclusively blues for a few years on the diatonic I tried to learn other genres, but a mix of life happenings and how much tweaking the diatonic needed in order to play other genres with all of those overbends led me to quit playing altogether around 2009.

Last November I subscribed to Ivonnick Prene's chromatic harmonica school after a newly found joy for Jazz and Klezmer music. A few months following the practice schedule and exercises in the site I felt a bit shocked by the recommended time line: 1-2 years to learn mayor scales in all 12 keys!! Which apparently is something desirable in Jazz.
After diggin' a bit into what was "new" in the harmonica landscape during the last decade I found about alternate tunings and decided to give the diminished tuning a shot. Got a Lucky 13 in Dimi, which felt nice for playing Klezmer specially and after tinkering with an Easttop Forerunner valveless chromatic, which I made into Dimi, I decided calling a pro (Andre Coelho), and ended up with a Super 64x tuned to Dimi with a flat slide (it feels so intuitive playing with a flat slide when both the diatonic and chrom are tuned the same).

I been subscribed to a Jazz website (learnjazzstandards.com) recently and been learning the basics about Jazz improv. The dimi tuning makes it so whenever I got to play a lick into all 12 keys I can actually do it and move on with the next lesson. Still far from freely improvise as I once did playing blues harmonica, but learning music theory and seen a way to improvise in other genres is turning to be a joyful journey so far.

I've seen some really talented people here, so I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you guys.

Regards.
