He didn't ban discussion of the SLIDELESS chromatic; he just moved it out of the PRIMARY discussion section.

For that price I want a button.  But that's just my opinions of course.

Pricewise, you have to compare it to a Seydel Deluxe Steel, it's £40 cheaper.

Very true, Keith. Technically speaking, the Nonslider IS a Seydel Deluxe Steel Chromatic, just no valves nor slide and with a quite, ahm, peculiar mouthpiece instead.

I really love my Nonslider. Since I have bought this harp I don't play my other harmonics anymore. I can take the harp and can start playing. No warming te valves, no cleaning of the slider anymore. And for me as a newbie on the chrome and as a pucker it is easier to play the Nonslider as to use the slider. So I'm happy with this harp 😃

OKOKOK... As God once told Moses, You better print a retraction boy.
OK maybe not exactly those words.  However, I decided to take a closer look.
No wind savers(?)  That is perhaps a little appealing. But I still have issues
with the price. So until Seydel sends me a Test Unit I think I'll have to
live without one. No worries, I have Plenty-O-Toys to keep me happy.

Nice playing Hein - I think that the non-slider sounds more to me like a chromatic than a diatonic in tone.

I now have the Seydel Nonslider with the slider mouthpiece for the Steel Deluxe and there is no noticeable sound difference.  They are the same chromatic!!.  With arthritis in both hands, I find the nonslider to be less painful as I can balance te instrument with both rather than most of the weight on my left hand.  I've ordered a rake to see if that will help more.

No fishing for compliments or likes, just trying to show what can be done on this peculiar instrument: the tone can be smooth, somehow like on a regular jazz chrom, yet you can also change and sculpt your tone much more than on a regular chrom. I think it's this malleability that I really appreciate with the Nonslider.
