Eddie and Missy...
Ohhhh, how sweet - they're beautiful! I had several black cats over the years - who looked very similar to your Eddie. They all seem to have something 'extra' special. Your two look so healthy they shine! How adorable.

I really love my dog - and those who preceded him, but I'm a confirmed 'crazy cat lady' - just something about felines which connects with me deeply. Kimba's on my lap as I'm trying to type this. :)

haha! you're lucky! Eddie's stunt is to lay across the keyboard...until you scratch his ears of course!

What IS that with the keyboard? Sheesh! Mine never used to be interested --lately their trick (even ultrafat Percy--just wait until I find a suitable photo of HIM to post)...is to squish themselves onto the pull out shelf so they're 'thisclose' to the keyboard (making me reach OVER them--and of course later on it's just covered in shed cat hair - grrrr. I cleaned it so much most of the letters were gone and I had to type by memory, lol.

Now we've just put a wireless keyboard and mouse on my little shelf and it seems to be a main attraction (in more ways than one). It's so nice and matte black--everything's showing up on it. ugh. I've already vacuumed it three times. My shoulder hurts - again,  from trying (in vain) to fend them off, lol.

What WOULD we do without 'em? I'd have this placid and likely very boring life. Oh, and with intact furniture.
Hmm. ;)

That's MY Alfie --whom Henry so kindly posted for me. Just wait, now. I'll send Henry a whole slew of 'critter pictures'. You just might regret asking. :)

I suspected you had a Mac. I imagine you can get apps for Mac similar to Microsoft Paint but presumably you would have to pay for them.
Not many people realise that Preview, the default viewer app in OS X, has quite a lot of power. It can produce pdf files and annotate them, for instance. It can also resize photos - even in batches. Preview will do what you need. It's built-in.

Here's Sally, my little furry soulmate. I found her at a rescue nine years ago now. We've rarely been more than a few feet apart since then.

She's not a fan of my harmonica playing. As soon as I pick one up, she gives me that "old fashioned" look, and finds somewhere to hide for the duration.

I had a junk yard dog that looked just like her. After Henry (my German Shepherd) got hit by a truck, someone gave me a cute pooch that looked just like your Sally. "Rascal" was a sweetheart, and therefore worthless as a junk yard dog; when he barked, the customers went over and played with him! >:(  Kinda embarrassing, actually. Even the wild dogs out there in Colebrook, Ohio used to come and steal his food and he'd just hide in his house till they left.

Thank you! I am very lucky. In actual fact, she chose me. I went to the pound/rescue, and it was a very noisy place. There was one large cage with two dogs in it. One dog was at the front of the cage, barking like mad, while another (Sally - at that time known as "Precious"), was very quietly sitting at the back of the cage. I opened the door, and crouched down. Sally silently walked past the other dog, placed her paws on my thighs, and simply rested her head on my shoulder. That was a done deal. I'm so thankful she adopted me. I couldn't wish for a better friend.

This is the late and great Buttercup

This is the late and great Ted!
My wife would let him out in the garden on winter's days, with his red coat on.
He ALWAYS came back without it!!!

I'm glad I posted Alfie's photo--with his beautiful eyes (before he lost his vision). He died 18 days after Jenni. I've been heartbroken and it's been really, really difficult these last couple of weeks. I know you'all understand.

He was just an amazing cat who, though he remained very solitary and not particularly close to the others, would melt against me and purr up a storm whenever I touched him. We had one last dance to the radio--even though I wasn't sure how much he could hear at the end. Our vet is very 'tuned in' like me, and understands my  need to be there. She loved these two nearly as much as I did.

Thank you for allowing me to post their photos--and Henry for doing it. Now I can come to this page to look at them again --when I'm able. Not yet, though. :'(

My cats......

These are a family, Giuliano? They all have the same 'type of' colouring. Just beautiful. My Emily (long-since gone) looked just like the second from the left. She was a wonderful cat I brought in from outside who died much too young. Most of mine live long lives but I've had bad luck with a couple.

She is a human wrapped in fur with the most soulful eyes. She looks almost exactly like the first dog in my life--my mother's little Bonnie (from many years ago). But this photo looks as though it belongs on a calendar. Gorgeous. You are very, very lucky--she DID choose you and those who do always make the best life-long companions. You're very blessed having her in your life - her happiness shines from the photo.  :)

It's SuperBowl Sunday here in the States. Which means every (American) football fan will be glued to their TV sets (lightboxes as the kitties say)....to watch grown men run and grunt and pound each other into the astroturf while munching on tons of snacks.

To that end, there's this really funny (to me) Friskies commercial featuring a kitten who looks like my Percy when he was tiny--(the little red guy). :)

Enjoy:
