Harmonicollege Weekend
« on: March 31, 2022, 09:11:04 AM »
Heading to Huntington, WV this weekend to enjoy Jim Rumbaugh and the Huntington Harmonica Club's 9th annual Harmonicollege.weekend. This is a 99.9 % diatonic harmonica event. I make up the .1 % as the token chromatic player.
Sandy Welman will be the instructor this year. I enjoyed sitting in for awhile on one of Sandy's teaching sessions at the Great Lakes Harmonica Retreat in Petosky, Michigan a couple of years ago. Here's what Richard Hayman had to say about Sandy  “He is a true musician.  And to also think of the ideas that he hears in his mind and then to execute them with flawless ease is truly astounding.  My hat’s off to him.
It's always fun to hang out with harmonica players and this is one of my favorite events.

"0.1%???" You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Just be sure they don't try and fit you with a "pork pie and sun glasses" while you're down there. ;)
