Umm, not quite

I've tried to watch a great many videos only to find them blocked as being 'unavailable in your Country' (I'm in the US). I suspect it might have to do with the last set of updated copyright rules passed in the UK? Here's a link:

Mr. Acker Bilk (someone once said that "Acker" means Mister, making his name from the dept. of redundancy dept.)

Jerry Bilik was a student at the University of Michigan, and eventually a theory and arranging teacher there. After some years there, he ran away to the circus—Ringling Bros.-Barnum & Bailey, to be exact. True story. He was one of my teachers. He's in his late 70s now.

Hello, Forgetful Ones.

Grizzly, thanks for clearing up my confusion about Acker Bilk. The song, Stangers on the Shore, was the theme of a BBC television series in the early 1950s.

I studied some of Jerry Bilik's books at UW-Milwaukee. They were excellent.

A well known old, old song from 1922 - made very famous when it featured in a Hollywood comedy movie in 1958 - for those who like clues.

I like this version - a little live piano duet featuring Stephanie Trick, whose youtube videos are all first class - check out her solo stride piano work.

Here we go back to 1918 - the last year of World War 1 - when this old song was written. Stephanie and Paolo again working together to give a very sensitive interpretation of this piece.
