Layout of Notes
« on: August 05, 2020, 08:03:45 AM »
I've been sarching for the notes layout on various keyed chromatic harps with little success on Google. Is there a site from where I can get it. I'm interested in the D,F,G, Am, and Bb keys. Would be obliged if anyone can help me find them.

Thanks Paul for the quick reply but it's too faint. Enlargeing it only worsens the sharpness. Can you tell me rom which site I can download it.

Hello, Darius.

You want the factory-installed keys of
D, F, G, Am and Bb, on slide chromatics,
solo system chromatic harmonicas.
Is that correct?

If "yes":

If you don't know the note spellings of
these scales, this post will not help you.

The factory D harp has the tonic note ("do") D
exhale, in holes 1,4 + 5, 8 + 9, and 12, on a 12-
hole slide chromatic, with the slide out. The D
harp has the same exhale-inhale pattern as the
factory-keyed C harp.

The factory F harp has the tonic note ("do") F
exhale, in holes 1, 4+5, 8+9 and 12...(see above )

The factory G harp has the tonic note ("do") G
exhale, in holes 1,4+5, 8+9 and 12...(see above).

The factory C harp (for A natural minor) has the
tonic note A ("do" minor) in holes 3 inhale, 7 inhale,
and 11 inhale...

There is no known major manufacturer that produces
minor-keyed slide chromatics as stock items. You could
special-order any factory-keyed natural minor or harmonic
minor key slide harp from the Seydel company.

The custom-made natural minor and harmonic minor harps
in solo system, will have the same exhale-inhale scale pattern
as the factory key of C harmonica, with minor keyed note spellings.

The factory Bb harp has the tonic note Bb ("do") in holes 1 exhale,
4+5, 8+9, and 12 (see above)...

Best Regards, Stay Healthy.

Hello, Darius.

We hope you are Happy and Healthy.

Here's the website for your requests. The harp makers
sell stock keys other than C, only on the 12-hole harps:

www.angelfire.com/music/HarpOn/chromlayouts.html

SORRY, the website listed above has expired. I tried
it after writing this post. The connection was made.
Then, I tried the website again. It's not available.

AT THE EXPIRED WEBSITE:

The factory keys of F, G, Bb and D are shown, plus
the other major keys.

For the factory A minor key, (custom-made), use the
C major chart.  The A minor key starts at the letter A
on the key of C chart.

Many thanks to Mike Will, (HarpOn website) for the
above factory-installed slide chromatic harmonica
note charts, and much more harmonica information.

As far as I know, the Hering company is the only
harmonica maker to offer all 12 factory-installed
major scale slide chromatic harmonicas.

All manufacturers offer 2 slide chromatic, solo system
scales on each factory-installed harmonica, so we need
to buy only 6 factory-installed keys to complete the 12
major scales. On each factory-installed key slide harp,
we have one scale slide out, and another scale slide in.

The website also includes 16- and 14-hole key of C note
charts.

Best Regards, Stay Healthy

Hello, Darius.

I'll post these factory-set slide chromatic, solo
system scale charts for you, at the "Chromatic
Tabs" section of SlideMeister:

The keys of F, G, A minor, Bb, and D.

See you there.

Is this what you are looking for? It doesn't have all of them.  It does have G, F, B

https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Harmonica/Harmonica_Layouts_and_Alternate_Tunings#12-hole_chromatic,_key_of_C

ignore this one, reply #7 has a better page
