Windshield wipers in winter
« on: December 17, 2020, 03:03:52 AM »
-I only recently learned the trick of raising the windshield (windscreen) wipers off the glass and leaving them pointing straight out from the windshield. That way they do not get frozen to the glass while the car is parked. Use whatever method you want for cleaning snow and ice off the glass.
-When the outside temperature is below freezing on a snowy day, I dress very warmly, keep the heater off and maybe barely crack open a couple windows. Thus snow that hits the windshield does not turn into slush, and I do not have to struggle to keep the windshield clean. If someone is riding with me, I have to talk the other person into the idea.

Can't see through ice or snow so, what's wrong with slush and a warm ride ?

Makes sense, but Mama's a freezebaby and wouldn't let me get away with that. In the winter ~I~ usually drive around in a t-shirt just like around the house. That muss be why snomobile's windshields are always so clean, eh?
