Actually I had both this one AND "Wonderful Wonderful" (which I seem to remember hearing a lot more back in the ole' "bronze-tone days.") in my noggin this morning, but we'll do "Chances Are" this time. (Sorry this is late, but we had to do some runnin' around today)

Yes, Johnny Mathis has a super velvety smooth voice. So calming and yet strong.  :) One of favorite Christmas songs is"Wonderful Wonderful" sung by him. Another favorite of mine is Andy Williams, great voice and range! :D
