I also ordered the new style button for a previous model DM48 - I had to bend the contacts down as far as I could (per 'info') to make enough room to install - I also found external and internal button parts need to fit together - the internal part needs to go pretty deeply into the external and since the spring action is much less sever in the new model, I had to hold it in place with an x-acto knife to slide the external button in place to get it secure.  A bit of a nail-biter and some trial and error - definitely worth it - much more sensitive action so much less pressure needed.

That's just too baaaaaad, bro!
Love dat sexy sax patch!! :-*

My number was 5030, then changed to 5656, which turned out to be previous doctor's office so the new one (whenever they get around to changing it) will be like James Bond: 1007. That goes for anyone else trying to reach me by phone. He he!

for silent practice??

Aw man! That's just "rong!" 8)

In case there's some misunderstanding here, silent to others, not the player (headphones). :-)

Yeah, I know; it just seemed like a waste of some wonderful technology (and money) for something as a "practice" tool. ;)

Really?  Interesting question. Isn't 98% of the time we spend playing the instrument practicing?   The truth is that the instruments I practice on do cost more than the ones I use for performance.  I perform primarily on Suzuki SC56's that I buy from Japan and I often practice on a Seydel Symphony because the slide doesn't stick on the Symphony and the wider hole spacing is liking working out with weights - at any rate I don't have to clean it every day.  I have to clean whatever Suzuki I use after every performance - without fail.  So between the Seydel and the DM48 I have a lot more money invested in my practice instruments than performance.  I never thought it was odd, after all I literally spend 100% more time practicing than performing......   Isn't that true for everyone?  Or am I weird.... ?

From Danny:  Only 100% more ?

you're right.  It's more like 1000% more except at certain odd times when I perform more than I practice.  But that only happens when I have a lot of gigs over the course of a couple of weeks.  That used to happen frequently, but since the dominance of DJ's for parties and weddings it happens less and less.

I muss be weird. I've always pretty much seen playing and practicing as one in the same. :P. They're both fun. If either became work; I'd prolly quit.

It took 50 years for me to learn the slide chromatic.

Since I only have an estimated 10 years left on my
lifetime contract, I can't see spending more bucks to
start at the beginning, and learn another instrument.

If I was 20 again (Allah forbid), and had extra money,
I'd go for it.

Thanks for the introduction to the Lekholm. Your information
is priceless.

I’ve posted a new video highlighting the MIDI controller I use, and an overview of how I set up the ipad.

Yeah, thanks for sharing.
I just pulled the trigger on a MIDI pedal by Morningstar Engineering, the MC6 Pro.
Having fun figuring out how to get it to control all things MIDI.
Still no harmonica tho  :P
