As promised, a tune on the Harmonetta.
This is not the first take, but there are no edits.
There are, however, clams.
I promise to practice.

Kewl! I want one! ;D ;D

Actually back when I worked on the railroad, a brakeman ((think his name was "Beach") told me he had a weird looking harmonica thing, square with buttons on it, like new, in the box that his uncle bought then disappeared or somethin. It had been laying the house for a few years and Beach sed he would bring it to work and give it to me (cuz he knew I play the harmonica) Aaaanyway, long story short, when he couldn't find anywhere he asked his mother and she said that shew threw it away. Aaaaaggghhh!  I didn't know then what it was but was still disappointed.

Love the chord associated with "self" second time through.  i.e.; "I say to my SELF ... what a wonderful world".

Very cool, Gary. You're playing a harmonetta???!!! First, it doesn't sound quite like the others I've heard (that's a
compliment, btw). ;) I like how you're making it sound, here - more 'modern'. I know it's a REALLY tough instrument to play, so more power to you.

Age: now that's a sad story.

My wife's name is "Barbara Ann, and "" is the closest thing to her name that I know of, and it's just, too flat-out, obnoxious to use for anything. :P

Thanks!
It was recorded long ago, so not quite a noodle--I was testing the system, looks like I can use Voice Recorder on the iPad, save to iCloud, and then post directly from the iPad, without having to change machines.
So I will do more of these, hey, why not.
No Harmonetta for a while, but I will stay away from diatonic, unless I get special permission--I have a bitchin' version of Sleighride, using three custom tuned harps (circular would do it, but these are Richter on top, my own tuning).
And as before, no editing, but you probably won't get the first take.

I gotcher noodle right here—
I am setting up my latest performance gear, this uses the boomerang III phrase sampler.
So the first thing you hear is me live, and then I bring in a couple of loops that were pre-recorded.
I didn’t have to use the button, but I did lol
The sound quality isn’t great, but it is a noodle.

Here’s the chrom thru the harmonizer in the Headrush Looperboard, it’s a vocal effect that “reads” the guitar.  I played a G chord, put down the guitar and then played some chrom thru a hand held mike, so it’s very modal, hardly modern jazz . . .

Cool! 8)
Yeah, the harmonizer Kinda reminds me of my Roland SPV-355 P/V. Did a lotta reallycool stuff but had a way of being more glitchy than what you have there, and ya couldn't count on tot to work right all the time. and very particular wi th the mics it liked. I used it more for sound effects before finally selling it.

I am not fond of using a harmonizer on harmonica, but wanted to present one of the cool features of the Headrush.  I will use it for vocal harmony for sure.
I usually use a TC Electonics VoiceLive Touch for vocal harmonies, driven by a MIDI sequencer, but am trying to craft a laptop free act, since I think that will be easier to sell here in Oklahoma.
Might throw the iPad in there tho . . .

It's a real standard folk/rock progression, Dear Mr. Fantasy comes to mind, although the melody I'm improvising is different than that tune.
I'm flirting with the F natural, but most of the F notes are F#.
And lots of delay, that makes it murky.
Let me know if I am putting too many of these up.

Not nearly "too much" as far as I'm concerned!

I need to commit to putting up more of the noise that comes out of my harmonica. Y

Well, I really enjoyed Bluesette, but wish you'd play any song (especially that one) all the way through - even with
some kind of backing track? The noodling isn't really my bag, but your chording on the harmonetta is coming
along so well....really liked La Vie en Rose --would love to hear you play it all the way through when you get there.
