We covered the Chromatics, but now I'm curious how many of you "buttoneers" are also play tenholers. I don't play these often, but that's just cuz I don't care that much for Blues or Country, but mostly cuz I can't do a decent overbend/overblow/blowbend/whatever to save my life, BUT FWIW, here's most of'em. ;D

2x Hohner Special 20, not played, & 11x Seydel Steel reed, (6 Orchestra tuned, 5 regular), seldom used these days, but used to really like the Orchestra S harps.

I have at least 5-6 drawers of those suckers.

Too lazy to give a total, but an estimate would
be at least 75-80, 10-hole diatonics, a few 12-
holers and at least one 14-holer.

Then, maybe a dozen tremolos, 5-6 octave harps
(not including the bass harps), and a few specialty
(slide diatonics and chordomonicas)and novelty harps.

Maybe 5-6 chord harps (only 2 are chromatic).

And there it is.

Happy Holidays, and Festivus for the rest of us.

Around 20 10 hole harps. Most in Melody Maker tuning. Around 20 dual reed harps (tremolo and octave). I think I'm set for life in this department. No need to buy anymore unless something breaks and can't be fixed. The 10 hole harps don't get much attention anymore. Mostly split my time between the chromes and the dual reed harps.

I tried the Special 20 for a couple of days and put it in the box after realizing that two notes are missing.

I don't have a "tremolo" anything in the whole house. That's what stomp pedals are for. ;D ;D

I have quite a few. I kept hoping I'd at some point get to play them better than I had before, but so far, no. I have two groups
of customs from Chris Michalek and Jimmy Gordon; a couple of B-Radicals and a set of Session steels I won at the last Buckeye.
Apart from that I also have a custom Smokey-Joe 'country-tuned' (actually smokey-tuned) harp with an aluminum comb I bought
from a guy (vendor) whose name escapes me at this moment. I have multiple other Hohners I bought before this - to take to SPAH hoping I could learn from people like Buzz Krantz, Joe Filisko and Jason Ricci, but somehow diatonics never quite 'fit' me. I also loved Jimi Lee's playing (and singing) so I went to many blow-offs run by Jason (back in the earlier days) and filmed quite a few
sessions with Jimi and Koei Tanaka practicing together in the Lobby.

I also have quite a few tremolos - mostly double-sided in different keys (A/D, C/G) in different sizes as well as a Highlander
made by Donald Black specifically to play Scottish tunes. I used to play tremolos a lot better than I can now.

I'm basically a born chromatic harmonica player so might as well accept that although because I'm so terribly sad at the moment I can't play at all. This has happened before.

To be honest, I didn't count the old MB's I still have stored away and all sorts of other harps I bought when I first came to this 'new' harmonica world back in 2004-5. I have some really old ones, some 'sets' which aren't worth the money I paid for them and a couple of those issued by Hohner on Anniversaries. I only counted the 'real' ones which are playable right now. I'm past caring about the others, lol. I still couldn't come close to your 'several hundred',but could easily understand the 40 in the case. I've seen Jason's gig case many times and he keeps his fairly pared down.

12 keys, with high and low Eb, E and F. 7 keys of Major Cross (but the top 4 holes are Power Chromatic), 7 keys of Power Chromatic, 7 keys of Melody Maker (Special 20s, but stock tuning), three high/low hybrids (F, G and A), and a few others (including  365 in my “New World” tuning, and a couple of 10 hole harps in the same tuning).

I carry chromatic harps separately.

Ah, I forgot about my novelties.....
Seydel Mini 4 hole
Suzuki x2 5 hole
Hohner 10 hole mini of some sort
......because they don't get played! ;

I don't class tremolos as suck harps as they are much nicer altogether, but I do have a few....
1x Seydel Fanfare S in C
1x Seydel Fanfare S in D
2x Suzuki SU21 in A
1x Suzuki SU21 in C
1x Tombo Band 21 in G
2x Seydel Skydiver C & C# to (try to) play chromatically
1x Swan C/G double sided
(& a couple of other 16 hole ones)

I have Hohner Special 20's in C, D, E, F, G, A and Bb, and Suzuki's, Promaster, Mangi and Bluesmaster all in C. Interestingly I much prefer the Hohner diatonics, whereas I prefer Suzuki Chromatics.

Let's see:

Tremolo: a cheap chinese Golden Cup, which actually sounds quite well.

Pure diatonic:

1 Hohner Pioneer (a disapointment).

1 Hohner Puck (my EDC harmonica, as I can carry it in the small pocket of my jeans)

1 Les Akords (it's a rebranded Suzuki, and it's the one that sounds better)

And a 4-hole Hohner Little Lady.

Chromatic:

1 cheap chinese Tower (my first)

1 Tombo S-50

2 Hohner Chromonicas (1 second-hand soprano and 1 new tenor).

All of then in C.
