He All, I'm Nathaniel. I'm a new Chromatic Harmonica player. I couldn't decide and bought a Suzuki Chromatix 64 and Hohner Super 64. I had a Hohner Toots Mellow Tone but all of the teachers I found had a 16 hole. I love the sound of the Toots and its so easy to play. The shape of the whole are perfect and I can pucker notes so easily. I'm so bummed because its so much more comfortable for me. I bought my super 64 online at amazon but it just didn't sound right. I'm sure its me but Hohner offered to check it out for me. Again I'm bummed because I just had my first lessons and am anxious to practice. I wish I could find a 16 hole that had square holes and the sound of the Mellow Tone.

Anyway, I'm in New York. I'm a Colorist, Hair Stylist and Barber in New York hoping that its not too late to learn to read music and be a fairly good harmonica player.

Hello Nathaniel, welcome!  Don't be bummed, there are plenty of other things to be bummed about, lol. Too late to learn? No way! I just started last year and I'm 64 and just met a fellow last night that is beginning at 86!  The joy is worth the effort....and by the way, great site!

Okay, I just spent over 6 hours re-arranging and re-organizing this section yesterday, and that was just a good start (got a lot more to do)  :o  This forum's software doesn't do anything automatically; it's all done one post at a time, and just to keep this from never happening again, I've locked and stickied this thread, so please just start a NEW TOPIC for your introductions okay?

thanx for your patience 8)
