The Chrometta is one of the most sensual harmonicas. If you once got familiar with the mp (which is very well possible!) you even might become addicted to it. As I have often posted here the mp shape IMO is the main factor for its unique mellow sound. There is no other chromatic harmonica where you physically are as close to the reeds (which gives the opportunity to control and influence them more directly).

My Chrometta 8 covers more than 2.5 octave (G3 to D5)! Just amazing.
One of my very first videos was to honor the Chrometta:

That is a lovely sound!! I'm gonna ask Santa if he might bring me a Chrometta this year!!!

I really enjoy my Chrometta 14, as said earlier it play so easily with no force and I also like the two extra notes at the bottom end.

I do want to try a Meisterklasse but really can’t justify the cost.

I have a  Meisterklasse and it is a fine chromatic in every way.  I was lucky and got it on sale for $374.62 0n Amazon a few months ago. It had become my favorite harmonica.  I love its sound, but have read so much about the lovely sound of the Chrometta, I decided to get the 14 and was lucky to also get it on sale at Amazon. Maybe, a bit of H.A.S. was involved.

Of course, the  Meisterklasse is much more solidly constructed and, in my mind, a work of art.  But, so far, I prefer the more mellow tone of the Chrometta, to my ear, when playin and am getting really found of the large holes.  As to its construction, I am satisfied with it and really like the its retro look. I would prefer that the slide had less travel.

Full disclosure, I play only a few melodies for my own entertainment and my wife's and occasionally with with family in my 'audience' or in stores or malls, while sitting and waiting for my wife.  :)

Do you play "Waitin' on a Woman" by Brad Paisley while waiting for your sweetie?  That is a great tune. Good old Andy Griffith was in the video for this song, and it was about a year before Andy died.  I think I'm gonna try to find the notes tonight to that one, on my Easttop Forerunner 12 holer.

Yeah, I have everything but the "eight"

The Chrometta is, without a doubt (IMO anyway :P) the mellowest Chromatic out there. My "Ten" (car Chrome) sounds identical to my Fourteen. The only thing that comes close is that goofy lookin' boat-shaped Swan 1664-6 (that's been discontinued)

Do they just come in C.
Sounds like a mellow second to have around.

Thanks Sawman and AJ. If you want, record your harmony and fills over my melody and post the result. Two Chromettas might sound twice as sweet as one!
