The ii V I progression is very common in jazz.
Here is a discussion of an alternative.

Hello, Gnarly.

Thanks for the Wikipedia article & list
of chord substitutions. I'll go to my
keyboard tomorrow.

The sounding of the chords is weak in
the article, to my hearing-impaired ears.

When reading the title of your post, I
incorrectly assumed that it was a list
of factory-installed chord substitutions
for a 48-chord harmonica.

In his instruction method "Chromatic
Harmonica" (1972), Warner Bros.
publications, Tommy Morgan lists
chord subs available, factory-
installed, on the 48 chord harps.

Al Smith's self-published 48-chord
harmonica methods also list factory-
installed chord substitutions:

Chugger's Manual (1980)
Chugger Lingo (1987)
Little Chugger for Chordet 20 (1988)
Chord Solos (1989)

The Al Smith instruction manuals are
difficult to find today, but the year 2021
email source is:

Hello, A.J.

Wikipedia's entries are not always
100% accurate, but they will do,
until more accurate entries are
available.

The wikipedia articles are submitted
by outside writers, not employed by
wikipedia. If you want a SlideMeister
listing at wiki, you should write one
and submit it to wikipedia.

It would be a great service to the
world's  harmonica community.

Nah, I'm retired! :)
Wikky had 24 years to investigate us. Besides, pretty much everything there is to know about us is already on SlideMeister.com. I know, cuz I wrote it all myself. :) It was a lotta work, and like I said I'm retired. ;D

Hello, A.J.

Where would we SlideMeisters be,
without your tireless efforts to
inform, educate and entertain us?

I received most of my slide harp
education here at SlideMeister.
In topics not covered elsewhere.

You can be very proud of your
work to establish and continue
to build, an international forum
for chromatic harmonica players.

Best Regards, Stay Healthy
