My first attempt at recording, since I started exploring chromatic harmonica in October.
Clearly not that good, but I want to have a baseline to compare if (when ;)) I get better at it.

Have a chromatic day!

Celebrating 2 years since I started the chromatic harmonica journey. 8)
I am satisfied with where I am, but now it is becoming harder to incrementally improve.
Pardon the farkles. Any feedback is welcome. :)

Hey, ~I~ think you're doing great!!

The farkles are minimal (no big deal) and will go away as you get more relaxed, and there it is IMO.
As you relax, your phrasing will improve (which is already doing great, BTW) and everything will smooth out. Trust me.

Tone takes a while (and you pretty much have that nailed already) the same with articulation. What I've found is that it's the phrasing part that takes the most time, and there ain't any shortcuts, but I wouldn't worry; you're doing better than most. I think all you hafta work on is maybe your patience. 8)  You'll get there. I'm proud of you! :)

Thank you Age and Tom!

The relaxing part is really tough: as soon as I push the record button (or if I am in front of someone, as during the zoom meetings), I start focusing too much on not making mistakes and.... I make mistakes  ;D I guess practice and patience will help :).

One thing I am grateful for: I would not be where I am, without this forum and the support of people like you!

Ha ha! That record light is a stinkin' gremlin!!  As soon as I start recording, I tend to get "mechanical." I don't know if it's all that common, but that the way its always worked for me.  It's funny. Seriously, I've played (solo) in live situations, for up to a couple thousand as well as TV for who knows how many,  ::) and have never got as choked-up as playing in my own basement, after I push that menacing record button. Weird!! :P

So well done, Vale!  After four years on this beguiling little instrument I’m still somewhat intimidated by hitting record. But…it’s getting easier. Playing on our Zoom sessions helps. I’ve had a couple of gigs at senior communities that have helped a lot, too.
Keep up the great work!  And I agree…the support and constructive criticism from friends on this forum has kept me motivated and enthused.

Vale, both your vocal and harp playing sound beautiful to my ears!
Your 2 years of Chromatic journey seems to be far, far better than 5 years of mine!
Congrats!

Yeah, I am sorry I missed it. It is always such a fun and learning experience when I join.

I do hope I can make it next week. Although I might be driving back from a business trip, I will try to connect from the car.
