"Something" – C

Written by George Harrison

Play along with the lads from Liverpool!

Some-thing in the way she moves,
 -4*    -4*   -4*-4* -4*  -4*   -4

At-tracts me like   no o-ther lo-ver.
-3* -3*   -3*  -3*   5  -5  5    5   -3

Some-thing in the way she woo-oo--oo-s me.
  -5     -5     -5  -5    5    -5    -4   -3    -4 -3  3

I  don't want to leave her now,
-3 -3      5     -3   -5    -3    5

You know I be-lieve and ho-w.
 -3      6    -5  5  -5      6    5   -3

Some-where in her smile she knows,
 -4*     -4*   -4* -4* -4*   -4*   -4

That I  don't need no o-ther lo-ver.
 -3* -3* -3*   -3*   5  -5  5   5   -3

Some-thing in her style tha-t sho-ws me.
 -5      -5     -5  -5    5     6   -5 -4    -3   3

I  don't want to leave her now,
-3  -3     5     -3   -5     -3    5

You know I be-lieve and ho-w.
 -3       6   -5  5  -5      6     5  -3

You're ask-ing me will my love grow,
 5*      5*   5*  5*  5*  6  -6*    5*

I don't kno--w,   I don't know.
6 -6*  -6*  6 -5   7  -6*    6

You stick a-round now, it may show,
 5*   5*   5*   5*    5*     6  -6*     5*

I don't kno---w, I don't know.
6  -6*  -6* 6 -5  7  -6*    6

Instrumental (Maybe I'll tab that, too!):

Some-thing in the way she knows,
 -4*    -4*   -4*-4* -4*  -4*  -4

And all  I  have to do is think of her.
 -3* -3*-3* -3*   5 -5  5   5     -3  -3

Some-thing in the things she-ee sho-ws me.
 -5      -5     -5  -5    5        6   -5   -4  -3    3

I don't want to leave her now.
-3  -3     5     -3   -5     -3    5

You know I be-lieve and ho-w.
  5     6    -5  5  -5     6     5  -3

Disclaimer: The sounds you produce (assuming that your axe is in tune!) may not be exactly the same as the ones you hear as you play along with the recording! This is one of those cases in which the recorded notes are "between notes" or like a quarter off or something (can someone explain that?). Actually, to be honest, it's a bit annoying, but what can you do? If you want to play along with the boys, you have no choice, unless there's a later recording that's in tune (imagine that...the Beatles being out of tune! :o ??? ;D).

YW, Henry!

Yes indeed, it is a great one.

Barry
P.S. Whenever I had a choice between 5 and -4*, I thought of you, and, as you see, I used -4* a lot -- thanks to you!!! In Hebrew, there's an expression that goes something like this: "I've learned from all my teachers." Well, you're definitely one of mine, and I'm grateful to you for that!

And here's the musical interlude, i.e. the classic Harrison guitar solo (I just played all the way through and it's really COOL to play) -- try it:

-5    6    7    6,

-5   6   -7     -7     7    6,

-4   5    6   -6    6    -6*    7    7     -7     7     8   -7     7      -5,

-5     6     6     -5    4   5    5      4,     -3   -4      -3       -5    -6*    -6*   -8    -7

-8   -7    -8    -7    7    7    9*    9    -8     10   -9*   -9,

6     -5      6    -5     5,

6     -5      6     -5    6      -5      5,

6      -5     5      6     7     10     -9      9      -9      9,

-7        8       -7       -7*      -8       -8*

Thanks for your work on this eternal Beatles/Harrison classic.  The song of course is introduced with a lovely little instrumental hook or phrase, which I believe is

  A     C_pulloff_B     A     Bb     B     C

 -3    -4*         -4    -3    -3*    -4   -4*
