A.J.  is retiring!

This is bad news for us barnacles, but we respect
A.J. and his decision.

A.J. has dedicated 22+ years as SlideMeister's
Creator, Publisher and Administrator, offering
free harp info from experts, at the click of a mouse.

No other person could have done what he has done.

Thanks for your gifts, A.J. We'll miss you.

Cheers AJ, I'll miss the forum, but hopefully the FB group page will carry on some of the banter, all the best for your 'quieter' years - that is if the grandkids allow it. :D

I'll echo the general sentiment and personally add that I very much appreciate what this place is and will have been.  But, as with all things time and changes march on and I appreciate even more a man making a move true to himself.

I'm not a fount of wisdom on the subject matter of this community.  I'm a friend of the chromatic and it/they (harmonica pronouns) have been both a friend and a comfort to me for 50 years.  Like my relationship with my Creator, my personal relationship with the music I make for myself is typically a private conversation.  While I most assuredly enjoy both, I'm less often a musician interacting with others than I am a contemplative and introspective sucker and blower for my own soul and mental health.

But, in my daily audit, monitor and read of this community site I recognize the common pleasure that is the cause and catalyst that places however many dozens, hundreds, thousands to be in the same place.  I have no idea what the number is, but I know that of the billions of souls on this planet and interwebs, there is a tiny percentage that have the efforts of Mr Fedor in common.
I'm not a prolific poster.  Lord knows I'm opinionated, but it's my nature to not impose my position on others.  That trait manifests itself in my listening (reading) more and talking (posting) less, and in and online community that makes me less of a cog in the machine's horsepower, however I try not to be a drag on the works, so I have contributed to my man Age.  Guilt?  Nah.  Appreciation.

God bless you, Age.  It ain't easy sitting down and pulling a a new prompt out of yer [butt] time after time to try and stoke the legion.  If everyone was like me and only posted quips and bad sarcasm, this place would be nothing like it is.  I recognize that.  I'm not a contributor of sage chrom musical or mechanical theory.  But I know a magical thing when I see it, and SlideMeister is that.

Thanks to all who are smarter and more adept at the wretched little mechanism that brought us here.  And, thank you A.J..  I want it on the record that my life is better because of you, your work and this special little village.

Now, go have some fun.......
